BIRCHWOOD COTTAGE is a charming, old summer haven nestled onto lakefront property which has been owned by the same family since the late 1800's. The cottage features natural wood interiors, shelves of books, gorgeous views of the lake, coziness, and simplicity. Its location on TORCH LAKE (called the third most beautiful lake in the world by National Geographic Magazine) means ready access to all kinds of water activities. A 15-minute stroll puts you among the restaurants, shops, playground and tennis courts in the small village of ALDEN. The setting boasts rolling farm and woodlands criss-crossed by peaceful, country roads--great for cycling or walking. Popular tourist destinations such as Traverse City, Charlevoix, Leelanau, and Petoskey are all within an hour's drive.
The Cottage may be rented from May through October.
